Sky Raizes community outreach began in Brownsville, Brooklyn, New York and will continuously extend to many other areas nationally. As a grassroot organization, we hope to fulfill our desire of creating leaders within the communities we serve because our strength comes when we are united not divided.
OUR COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT PLAN
Park Revitalization
Local playgrounds are often utilize by the children and families of the communities we serve. Laughter, memories, and opportunities reflect the environments ability to unite and fellowship. Sky Raizes pledge to assure parks are cleaned by community volunteers and we voice our concerns about the functionalities of tattered spaces that affects our beneficiaries Quality of Life (QOL) with hopes of restoration.
Collaborative Efforts
Local safe spaces are often misrepresented and overlooked due to lack of exposure. Sky Raizes pledge to connect, shine light, and unite communities with the resources that surrounds their homes in order to maintain the pride of their neighborhood.
Green Recovery
Learning the soil of your environment, alongside the skill of farming and growing within the community you reside in is important to Sky Raizes. We pledge to connect our youth, volunteers, and staff with community gardens to teach healthy living for prolonged life.
